Care and taking part
Care close to home
Applying for care is often a maze. SAB wants social care and support to be available right in the neighbourhood, close to home. With one clear desk and help for anyone who gets stuck.

Care and taking part
Applying for care is often a maze. SAB wants social care and support to be available right in the neighbourhood, close to home. With one clear desk and help for anyone who gets stuck.
Money and making ends meet
More and more people in Maastricht are struggling to make ends meet. SAB wants tax relief and support schemes to be quick and simple to arrange. Struggling is nothing to be ashamed of; asking for help should be easy.
Clean and safe
Waste is now collected only once every two weeks and the red bag is under threat. SAB wants weekly collections back and the red bag kept. A clean street starts with proper collection.
Housing and neighbourhoods
A first home is almost unaffordable in Maastricht. SAB wants starter homes up to € 290,000. Multi-generational and carer housing should also become easier.
Clean and safe
Nuisance makes neighbourhoods unsafe and reports are left too long. SAB wants more enforcement officers who know the area and quicker action. And you should hear what happens with your report.
Transport
People without a car should be able to get everywhere too. SAB wants free public transport for over-65s and people on low incomes. And good bus routes from every neighbourhood to the centre and the station.
Business
Your shop keeps the neighbourhood alive, but rules often get in the way. SAB wants less red tape and faster permits for small businesses. With a council that thinks along with you.
Maastricht traditions
Traditions and the Maastricht dialect are part of our city. SAB wants support for carnival, brass bands and community clubs. And attention for the Maastricht dialect, on signs and in the classroom too.
Transport
At the weekend the city is packed while midweek there is room to spare. SAB wants that pressure spread more evenly and a parking policy that works for residents and visitors alike. Staying welcoming to those who come to Maastricht, without our own neighbourhoods grinding to a halt.
Together we make taking part possible.
SAB helps with letters, care applications, money worries and official bodies. Free, for every resident of Maastricht.
