Why report it to SAB?
A loose paving stone seems small. Until your mother trips over it, or someone with a walker can’t get past. The city of Maastricht repairs pavements, but needs to know where. That’s where we come in: you report it, we make sure it reaches the right department and we keep track of how long it takes.
Lots of reports from one neighbourhood? Then the pavement there isn’t broken by accident. We raise it in the city council and ask for a proper overhaul instead of one stone at a time.
What can you report?
- Loose, tilted or sunken paving stones
- Holes or stones pushed up by tree roots
- Missing stones after roadworks
- Broken kerbs
Is it a dangerous situation on the road, like a large hole or a loose manhole cover? Call the city directly on 14 043.
Frequently asked questions
It depends. A dangerous spot is often fixed within days, a sunken pavement can take weeks. We track the turnaround time and show it here, so you know what to expect.
Of course, you always can. The difference: report it to SAB and we keep an eye on it, get back to you, and take it to the city council if it keeps happening in your neighbourhood.
Your name and contact details are stored encrypted, only so we can get back to you. They are not passed on to the city. Six months after the report is closed we delete them automatically. What, where and the photo only appear on the site if you tick the box for that.
No, but it helps a lot. The city can see straight away which stone it is and doesn't have to come and look first.
