Why report it to SAB?
A playground belongs to the neighbourhood. Children play there every day, and parents are the first to notice a broken piece of equipment. The city of Maastricht is responsible for maintenance, but doesn’t check every day. You do. Report it, and we make sure it reaches the right department and track how long it takes.
Do the reports show a playground keeps breaking or hasn’t been renovated in years? Then we ask the city council for money for a proper renewal.
What can you report?
- Broken or loose equipment: swings, slides, climbing frames
- Sharp edges, splinters, protruding screws
- Glass, litter or dog mess in the sandpit or on the safety surface
- Broken fences, benches or lighting at the playground
Is a piece of equipment immediately dangerous? Cordon it off if you can and call the city directly on 14 043.
Frequently asked questions
Dangerous equipment is usually cordoned off or removed quickly. Repair or replacement can take weeks to months, especially if parts need ordering. We track the turnaround time and show it here.
That's not a report for this form, but it is something for us. Send it to the help desk or email us, and we'll see if we can raise it in the council.
Of course, you always can. Report it to SAB and we keep an eye on it, get back to you, and take it to the city council if it keeps happening.
Your name and contact details are stored encrypted, only so we can get back to you. They are not passed on to the city. Six months after the report is closed we delete them automatically.
