Drug dealing in Belfort and Boschpoort

What was going on

According to residents, drugs are dealt almost daily at the Belfort shopping centre and at the former SPAR in Boschpoort. In Belfort even opposite a school. Always in the same places, despite reports.

What SAB did

SAB has put official questions to the mayor and aldermen. How many reports are there? What are the city and the police doing? How are children being protected?

The outcome

No answer yet. SAB wants a targeted approach with the police and the public prosecutor, so both neighbourhoods are safe for young and old, and clarity about the measures within 10 days. As soon as there is an answer, you will hear it from us.

Walking to school safely. Doing your shopping or strolling through your neighbourhood safely. That should simply be possible, in Belfort and Boschpoort too.

Residents tell us about dealers who hang around for a long time, and about youngsters on fat bikes and scooters who are said to collect and deliver the drugs. Always in the same places, despite reports.

We want to know what is happening now. As soon as there is an answer, you will hear it from us.

See something that isn’t right? Report it, even if you’re not sure.
