From 8 October to 12 November you can visit the Climate Museum for free at The Social Hub in Maastricht.
The Climate Museum is free to visit in Maastricht from 8 October to 12 November. The museum is located at The Social Hub on Spinxcour. Visitors can see interactive installations and artworks about the climate.
What is happening?
The Climate Museum travels around the Netherlands and is now coming to Maastricht. The museum combines art and science to explain the climate crisis in an accessible way. It covers both the problems and possible solutions. The museum is meant for everyone, from people already active in sustainability to visitors who want to learn more.
The museum opens its doors on Thursday 8 October. The official, festive opening takes place on Saturday 10 October at 2 PM. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. Guided tours for groups, such as schools and organisations, can be arranged on request on other days.
Besides the museum, Maastricht will host several other activities about sustainability and the energy transition in the coming weeks. These include a sewing workshop to recycle clothing, the planting of small front-garden plots, workshops on making your home more sustainable, repair cafes where broken devices get fixed, and a climate poetry workshop for children.
